Overview
Bushmen Trip, Lake Eyasi The Hadzabe Tribe lives in the dry terrain near Lake Eyasi, south of Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania. They have existed in this region for over 3000 years. The Hadzabe people are nomads and don’t live in the same place for very long. They only set up camp for several days or even months, and then when they have harvested the resources of their current location, they move to another area. Their movements are normally influenced by climate changes and the availability of wild fruits and vegetation for their animals. They build homes by weaving small huts out of sticks from the euphorbia bush. The Hadzabe use bows, arrows, and spears to hunt for food. They eat roots, meat, and wild fruits and use alternative medicine to treat their illnesses. They use sticks and grass to start fires. Their unique lifestyle makes a stay with them an interesting and stimulating experience.
Day by day
Day 1 — Lake Eyasi
After breakfast in the morning a guide will pick you up from your accommodation at Arusha or Mosh then drive to a town called Eyasi and from here we drive into the Yeada valley. A full-day drive into your private lightweight fly camp. Arrive late afternoon. Beautiful countryside on top of a ridge line. In the evening we have an evening walk and learn more about the days to come from your guide, gaining an understanding of the Hadzabe people, their traditions and skills, and also the wider area. And overnight at this lightweight camp around the campfire. Additional notes: This is your first day on safari, so we ask that you please pay special attention to the national park visitor rules and our company recommendations. During the safari, it is strictly prohibited to exit the vehicle, except in specially designated areas. Violations of this rule may be accompanied by large fines for the company, including the revocation of its license. Off-road driving is also prohibited, as such behavior may cause irreparable damage to the fragile balance of the natural ecosystem. During the safari, you are allowed to smoke, but be extremely careful about how you extinguish and dispose of cigarette butts, as they are a frequent cause of fires in the savanna. In addition, we sincerely request that you not put your feet on the safari car's seats, nor sit on the back of them, because this type of behavior quickly makes the cars unusable. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Day 2 — Lake Eyasi

Set off on a walk with the women to gather berries, and baobab fruit when they are in season and dig for tubers. Men will often join the walk to harvest honey from hives in the trees. Return to your fly camp for sundowners and to enjoy the views over the valley while recounting tales of the day’s adventures.
