“Mountain of God” in the Maasai language,
is an active volcano located in the Gregory Rift, south of Lake Natron within the Arusha Region, Northern Tanzania, East Africa.
Bushbuck Antelope
The bushbuck stands about 1 m (39 inches) at the shoulder and ranges in color from reddish brown to almost black, depending on the subspecies.
Impala Antelope
The impala has a lovely reddish-brown coat matched against a white underbelly, which is reminiscent of the springbok, though the colors are not quite as dramatically contrasted.
Dik-dik
These antelopes were called “dik-diks” by the early settlers and hunters as they ruined the hunter’s chances of shooting any larger game.
Grant’s gazelle
The Grants gazelle resemble Thomson’s gazelles but are noticeably larger and easily distinguished by the broad white patch on the rump that extends upward onto the back. Swala granti in Swahili, is a type of antelope indigenous to Eastern Africa.
